ABOUT

ISYA (I Send You Away) is the longtime project of Jake Brown, known for his work in Moments in Grace (Atlantic), Twothirtyeight (Tooth & Nail), Decahedron (Lovitt), and En Masse (Pop Up). What started in 2006 as a recording outlet slowly evolved into something heavier, weirder, and harder to define.

The early material was abrasive and chaotic—leaning into the warped electronics and breakneck energy of bands like The Locust, Flying Luttenbachers, and Big Black. Over time, the sound has shifted toward a more rhythmic and physical place, drawing from the industrial pulse of Nitzer Ebb, Killing Joke, and early Front 242. It’s still intense, but now it moves.

After wrapping ISYA’s first chapter with a Greatest Hits in 2019, Brown nearly ended the project. But it came to life on stage—loud, disorienting, and impossible to ignore. The live show has drawn comparisons to Skinny Puppy meets Death Grips and Dan Deacon: part industrial ritual, part digital meltdown, part ecstatic release under blinding light.
